Meet Dr. Gaffrey

Dr. Tim Gaffrey was born in Redlands, California and grew up in California and Virginia. He played tennis and ran cross country in high school and is an Eagle Scout. As an undergrad, Dr. Gaffrey majored in forestry at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and originally aspired to be a firefighter (can you spot him in the picture of the forest firefighters?). His interest in ecology and wildlife eventually grew into a desire to become a veterinarian. After graduating summa cum laude from Cal Poly, he went on to attend North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

In veterinary school, Dr. Gaffrey focused on small animal medicine with a sub-focus in companion exotic animals. He got to work with a variety of wild and unusual species including sea turtles, marine mammals, parrots, waterfowl, and exotic pet animals. He was also the president of the wildlife, zoo and exotic animal medicine club and studied abroad in India (he took the photo of the wild bengal tiger you see below himself!). After graduating as a member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society, Dr. Gaffrey began practice at a small animal clinic in his hometown of Porterville, California.

In February 2017, Dr. Gaffrey and his wife, Casey, moved to Texas to purchase their own veterinary hospital- now known as Stoneside Veterinary Hospital. The Gaffrey’s live with their dogs Snickers and Miles and their cats Baxter, Ozzie, and Pineapple. As a veterinarian, Dr. Gaffrey has special interests in medicine, soft tissue surgery, laser therapy, and a high level of service to his clients. Dr. Gaffrey’s hobbies include hiking, fishing, hunting, music, and playing both roller and ice hockey weekly in Houston.

Meet Dr. Wolf

Dr. William Wolf was born and raised in Houston, Texas and has had a dream to become a veterinarian for most of his life. He received his Bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas A&M University in 2017 before attending Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine as a member of the class of 2022 obtaining both degrees cum laude.

During veterinary school, Dr. Wolf developed a passion for the medical and preventative health aspect of veterinary care. He enjoys being able to help keep pets healthy and happy with their families for as long as he can and having the ability to utilize his knowledge and skills to help make sick pets feel better in the end. It’s always a great feeling to be able to reunite a formerly sick animal with their family!

Aside from animal care, Dr. Wolf enjoys spending time at home with his family and friends. Whether that be reading a book, playing games, or occasionally binge watching tv shows with his cousins. He currently has a 4-year-old cat named Amos who has FIV and feline asthma and helps to take care of his families 4 dogs as well: Zoe a Cocker Spaniel, Remi a French Bulldog mix, and Jessie and Dixie, both black labs
